Refund Policy.

At Garlic Threat, we strive to deliver the highest quality offensive security assessments. Due to the highly specialized, labor-intensive, and non-tangible nature of penetration testing services, our refund policy is strictly defined.

1. The Sprint Plan

The Sprint Plan (starting at $499) requires full upfront payment before testing begins.

  • Pre-Engagement Cancellation: If you cancel the Sprint engagement before the agreed-upon testing start date, a 100% refund will be issued, less any payment processing fees.
  • Mid-Engagement Cancellation: Once active reconnaissance and testing have commenced on the scope, no refunds will be provided for the Sprint Plan, regardless of whether vulnerabilities are found.

2. Retainer & Enterprise Plans

For Retainer and Enterprise engagements, payment terms are defined in your specific Statement of Work (SOW) and Master Services Agreement (MSA).

  • Milestone Payments: Refunds for scoped, milestone-based projects are only applicable to incomplete milestones that have not yet commenced.
  • Retainer Cancellations: Monthly retainers can be canceled with 30 days written notice. No refunds are provided for the current active billing cycle.

3. "No Vulnerabilities Found" Policy

Vulnerability assessments and penetration tests are time-boxed efforts to discover security flaws. The absence of critical or high-severity vulnerabilities during an assessment indicates a strong security posture, not a failure of service. Therefore, refunds are never issued on the basis of a clean report or lack of findings. Our deliverable is the rigorous testing effort and the verified attestation letter, both of which are provided regardless of the outcome.

4. Service Delivery Failures

If Garlic Threat fails to deliver the promised report, attestation letter, or fails to complete the testing within the agreed timeframe due to our own internal delays (excluding delays caused by the client, infrastructure outages, or scope changes), a partial or full refund may be issued at our sole discretion.
